Is it possible to export a model from sketch up to IFC file format, in order to open it in revit?

Technically, @I think it is possible to implement IFC export function from SketchUp model. The important thing is how to define the mapping rules between SketchUp model and IFC geometry. Focusing on only wall, slab, and opening element, and simple box & primitives such as cylinder and cube seems to be easy. We'd like to see some ideas and scenarios about what kind of conversion rules are useful. Thank you in advance.

Is there any progress on this? Will there be a SKP2IFC plugin as well ? :-) It would be great to save back information to the IFC file. Perhaps starting with type and property information and simplified geometry.
We (at Catenda.no) have developed a plugin on top of IFC2SKP to enrich an IFC model with semantic information from IFD (www.ifd-library.org) For the moment we save this information in the sketchup file. Being able to save back to the IFC model would make our plugin a useful tool rather than a prof of concept... It's really nice to see that there is continues development on IFC2SKP. Keep up the good work! Lars
